This past week we stayed at the Colony Motel and are mini vacation was perfect! Sunny the owner greeted us upon arrival and made sure everything was great throughout the stay. The room was cozy. She put us on the first floor because of the our 10 month old baby and older tween boys. It was super easy to maneuver, the stroller on the first floor with a handicap ramps. The room was clean, shower was refreshing after the beach. The fridge worked and the microwave was new and clean. Coffee and tea were served every morning family style out at 6:30am until the big coffee urn was empty. The pool was super clean and not crowded at all. They even had a grill and picnic tables if you wanted to grill. Location is perfect, short walk to the board walk plus CVS right across the street. Beach passes for the beach and more! We will definitely be coming back.
If you're looking for a clean, affordable place to stay in Seaside Heights, the colony motel is your spot! The owners, Sunny and Ron are wonderful and they take great pride in their establishment! From the moment we called to book this motel, we felt like we made the right decision in staying here. When we pulled up in our large truck, Sunny immediately came out and helped us back it into a perfect spot and even gave us her personal parking pass so we could park it on the side of the street and not have to wedge it in the small spots in the motel parking lot. I really can't say enough great things about Sunny and Ron and their beloved Colony Motel. We will definitely be back here again soon!
HIGHLY recommend this place if you are coming Seaside! Sunny and her husband (owners) take so much pride in keeping the place so clean and welcoming. The rooms were VERY clean, Sunny is out every day cleaning up the outside and making sure everyone is happy. Fresh coffee every morning, free beach passes, beautiful pool, great service.. Honestly can't say enough good things about this place, will DEFINITELY be making our go to motel from now on!
We went on vacation for my 35th birthday; I chose seaside heights! I was lucky to find the suggestion to try the colony motel ; This is our home away from home now and we will be coming back next summer but next time for a week. The pool was gorgeous, the flowers were beautiful and the owners were absolutely amazing and motherly in my opinion we miss them already! Bigger tvs would be the only thing I suggest but it’s not needed we enjoy the outdoors while there this motel is a 10/10
The Colony Motel is the nicest motel I have ever stayed and I just want to let everyone know if you are going to seaside, stay here. The staff were so friendly and so accommodating.
Best motel in Seaside Heights. The owners take pride in their place and it shows. We recently stayed with our soccer team (re: 13 families). You can’t beat the location (1 block from the end of the boardwalk, across the street from CVS and adjacent to a brewery that closes early (re: no late night noise). Access to a grill, picnic tables and pool, and amazingly accommodating owners. Thank you!
Small old school motel a couple blocks from the beach! Family owned and operate. They are amazingly attentive and on site 24/7. The rooms are clean, simple and just send you back a few decades to simpler times. You get to borrow a beach pass and their pool is very nice and also super clean. Plan on headed back.
Just got home from a outstanding weekend at the Colony Motel. Our first time staying here and won't be the last!! Sunny is such a delight! Her and her husband owning the Colony for 25yrs. are so accommodating. We arrived there at 11:00am, we were able to check right in. I'm a housecleaner and very picky. The room (7) was super clean!!! Nice size refrigerator in the room. Comp coffee and tea every day. After we checked out this morning, I asked for 2 beach passes to use for the day, no problem. I had another glorious day at the beach. Sonny is a workaholic. She's constantly running around the property sweeping, taking care of the plants etc. Having all those beautiful plants around the property is such a nice touch. If she happens to see you outside, she'll ask you how everything is, if you need anything. The pool was clean and refreshing after walking back from the hot beach! No rowdiness on the property, she's careful about who books a room there. Family friendly, safe, great location, clean!
Awesome stay. The owners are awesome and very accommodating. They asked if we needed anything to let them know, so that we wouldnt have to go out and buy anything, as they may have it. Sure enough everything we needed they had. Very polite couple, and they even offer free fresh coffee, a grill, and have an ice machine. Awesome place!
We stayed a few times and I'm very picky. I loved my stay, rooms were clean, property was safe I had my grand daughter with me and the atmosphere was nice. Owners were wholesome all the ways around nice decent accommodating people. will always return. And I always recommend. Not to mention it's right next to the beach.
